Dr. Jian Liu is an Associate Researcher in the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine at the Peking University Health Science Center, an Assistant Professor under the new tenure-track system, and a Doctoral Supervisor. His primary research focuses on the mechanisms by which traditional Chinese medicine improves cardiovascular diseases. He has published 45 SCI papers in authoritative journals such as  Diabetes  and  PNAS . He has undertaken projects including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the General Program of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and industry-sponsored projects. As a key member, he has participated in national key R&D programs and major initiatives on four major chronic diseases. He was awarded the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award by the Ministry of Education (as the 9th contributor). He serves as a Council Member of the Chinese Society of Microcirculation, Vice Chair of the Microcirculation Pharmaceutics Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, Secretary-General of the Qi and Blood Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, Editorial Board Member of the  Journal of Microcirculation , and Youth Editorial Board Member of the English edition of  World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine .
