Personal Profile
Dr. Jun Chen is the Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor of Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, School of Basic Medicine, Peking UniversityHealth Science Center. He was funded by four generalgrantsfrom National Natural Science Foundation of China, and was also supported by “973” project and key grant from Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has published 10peer-reviewed age-related papers in highly impacted scientific journals includingPNAS,Cell Death & Differ, Aging Cell, Aging, et al.
Research of Focus
His research interest has focused onthe molecular mechanismofcell senescence-including the regulation of senescence-associated secretory phenotype, telomerase complex assembly and activity, the regulation of key genes in cell senescence such as p16 and SirT1, as well as the role of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) in cell senescence. His another research interest has focused onaging intervention by small molecular compound to delay aging process and prevent or reduce age-related diseases.
