Personal Profile

Dr. Ying Zhao is Professor of Department ofBiochemistry and Molecular Biology, Peking University Health Science Center. She earned her MD and Ph.D degree at Peking University, Beijing, China. She was appointed professor in Peking University in 2017. She has been awarded China National Funds for excellent young scientist fundation of NSFC in 2012andthe Yangtze Riveryoungscholar’s distinguished professor in 2018.

In the past years, she has published 20peer-reviewed papers (first author or corresponding author)in highly impacted scientific journals including 《Nature Cell Biology》、《Molecular Cell》、《Cell Research》、《Molecular and Cellular Biology》、《Autophagy》et al. Her research was funded by National Natural Science Foundation of Key Grant, Ministry of Science and Technology projects and Ministry of Education etcin China.

Research of Focus

Her research interest has focused onrelationship between cancer development and autophagy.
