Personal profile

Wenling Han, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Department of Immunology, Deputy Director of Peking University Center for Human Disease Genomics, Secretary-General of the Beijing Society for Immunology, and Council member of the Chinese Society for Immunology. Her research direction is molecular immunology: the function, mechanism, and application of novel cytokines and immune membrane molecules. She reported the cytokines CKLF1, CSBF, and the gene family CMTM and demonstrated their important immune regulatory functions. The relevant conclusions have been verified and expanded by peers both domestically and internationally. As the leader, she has undertaken 16 projects from Major New Drug Development Special Project and National Natural Science Foundation of China. She has published more than 50 SCI papers as the corresponding author (including co-corresponding authors) in journals such as  Cancer Res ,  Cell Mol Immunol , and  J Allergy Clin Immunol ; applied for more than 10 patents. She has trained more than 30 doctoral students. She has extensive cooperation, and in recent years, her collaborators have obtained more than 30 projects including key projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China based on the new molecules discovered in her laboratory, with direct funding of more than 17 million yuan. She has won honors such as the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, the Second Prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (as the first contributor), the Fourth Nomination Award for Outstanding Young Female Scientists in China, the Trans-Century Excellent Talent Award of the Ministry of Education, the Huo Yingdong Young Teacher Award, and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor of Peking University.
