Personal Profile

Guoheng Xu received his bachelor degree (MD equivalent) of Medicine in 1987 and received his master degree in Pharmacology in 1990 from Henan Medical University (China). Then he joined as a faculty at the Department of Pharmacology in the same university. In 1995, he earned his PhD degree in the Department of Pharmacology of Zhongshan Medical University (China). After then he became a postdoctoral fellow at Peking University Neuroscience Institute. From 1997 to 2002, he worked as a visiting fellow at the National Institute of Health (NIH, NIDDK), Maryland, USA. He returned to China at the end of 2002. In 2004, he was appointed as a professor at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Peking University Health Science Center.
