Research Direction

The Li Lab investigates cell-autonomous immune responses to intracellular infections, with a particular focus on parasitic pathogens as model systems.

Personal profile

Xianhe Li received his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in July 2015 and Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine in July 2018 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Jilin University. In September 2019, he began his doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Germany and was awarded a Ph.D. in Biology in January 2023 by the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, where he continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow until the end of 2023. He then conducted research at the University of California, Los Angeles through the end of 2024. In February 2025, he joined the Department of Pathogen Biology at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University.
