Research Interests

Pathogenesis of inflammation and autoimmune diseases; development of novel anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor immunotherapeutic agents.

Biography

Dan Lu is a Tenured Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (“Youqing”). He has led multiple national and provincial research projects, including NSFC Excellent Young Scholars, Regional Joint Funds, and General Programs. As a corresponding author, he has published 45 papers in leading journals such as  Nature Chemical Biology  (2024),  Nature Immunology  (2020, 2015), and  Nature Communications  (2025, 2022, 2021), with over 1,500 citations. He holds seven national invention patents and has received several honors, including the Beijing Science and Technology Award (Second Prize), the Huaxia Medical Award, and the Songnian Lin Outstanding Scholar Award. Currently, he serves as a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Immunology and a member of its Basic Immunology Branch.
