第8届世界微循环大会于 2007年8月15日 至 8月19日 在美国的Milwaukee市的Midwest Airlines Center举行。来自美国、英国、法国、德国、意大利、荷兰、瑞典、丹麦、挪威、瑞士、捷克、匈牙力、俄罗斯、加拿大、巴西、澳大利亚、以色列、埃及、印度、泰国、韩国、日本、土尔其、中国台湾、中国的500多名微循环研究领域的学者参加了本届大会。

   美国Virginia大学的Brian R. Duling教授获得了“Benjiamin W.Zweifach奖” （用已故的世界微循环学会主席Benjiamin W.Zweifach先生的名字命名的学会奖），并作了题为“Interplay between ion channels and gap junctions in the arteriol”的获奖报告。美国Louisiana洲大学的D.Neil Granger教授获得了 “Nishimaru-Tsuchiya奖” （用已故的日本微循环学会理事长土屋雅春先生的名字命名的学会奖），并作了“Mechanisms underlying the microvascular dyshunction associated with acute and chronic inflammation”的获奖报告。

  Harvard大学医学部的judah folkman教授作了题为“Endogenous angiogenesis inhibitors ”的特别报告，Yale大学的Wiliam Sessa教授作了题为“Molecular control of niric oxide synthesis and NO signling”的大会报告，Sidney Kimmel Cancer Foundation-San Diego的Jan Schnitzer教授作了题为“Proteomic mapping of the endothelium”的大会报告，Missouri-Columbia大学的GeraldA.Meininger教授作了题为“Atomic force microscopy in the study of the microcirculation”的大会报告。

  本届大会在3个会场设了22个专题，每个专题选定4-6位学者做报告。北京大学基础医学院中西医结合教研室、医学部天士力微循环研究中心韩晶岩主任在 8月16日 下午的专题作了题为“Improving effects of dihydroxyphenyl lactic acid on microcirculation”的25分钟专题报告。微循环研究中心脏器研究室的刘育英主任（Protective effect of cardiotonic pills against myocarodial ischemia-reperfusion-induced microcirculatory disturbances and myocardial damage），共聚焦研究室的王芳主任(The attenuation effect of dihydroxyphenyl lactic acid and salvianolic acid on venous thrombosis induced in rat mensentery by photochemical reaction)，分子与细胞生物学研究室的孙凯副主任(Leukocytes and endothelial cells interaction during endotoxin-induced microcirculatory disturbances and the attenuating effects of major saponins of panax notoginseng in rat mesentery)，研究人员郭俊(Protectiv effect of total salvianolic acid on ischemia-reperfusion-induced microvascular damage in rat mesentery)和徐想顺(The attenattion effect of cerebral care granules on the microcirculatory disturbance in Mongolia gerbil induced by occlusion of both carotid arteries and reperfusion) 的研究成果也在本届大学做了壁报交流。

  世界微循环大会每4年召开一次。第6届世界微循环大会于1997年在德国的墨尼黑召开，第7届世界微循环大会于2001年在澳大利亚的悉尼召开。2011年的第9届世界微循环大会将在法国召开。本届大会决定第10届世界微循环大会将在中国举办。
